Our pool

Our pool is not a thermal pool, it is a heated pool that is heated to have a pleasant temperature to enable bathing during the cold seasons, otherwise it would be impossible to dive into it, unless you are a lover of icy waters.

The pool is in full operation from March 10 to December 12.

It is an indoor pool and has a glazed area with a large solarium outside overlooking the scrubland of oaks and junipers.

what is the difference between a heated pool and a thermal pool or spa? Basically, the temperature of the water and what it implies in terms of disinfection.
All the parameters of heated pools for public use are regulated by a Royal Decree and ours is no exception. Without going into the details of the Royal Decree, it indicates that the water temperature for heated pools must be between 24 and 30ºC. Above that temperature, it is considered a spa and the criteria for disinfection and water treatment are different.
why this 30º C maximum? It is understood that from 30 ºC the risk that pathogenic elements reproduce multiplies and therefore the treatment of the water must be different and more aggressive, then we already speak of thermal pools or spas.

For a pool like ours where we are not looking for a sports practice, we consider that the temperature should be around 28-30ºC as in most of the swimming pools of the sports centers.

could we keep it at a higher temperature? The answer is no. First because there is a legislation that does not allow it. Secondly, because of technical aspects of the installation and because the liner or waterproofing sheet, at higher temperatures and in combination with the disinfectant elements, would suffer a very marked wear and tear and thirdly, and not less important, because of sustainability and coherence issues. Every degree more, means a significant waste of energy. Our pool is heated by an aerothermal system supported by photovoltaic panels.
